Turning Experience

I have been a woodturner for over 25 years and have built up a good supply of woods and equipment.

Use this experience to cross off a bucket list item, or have a go at a new hobby. A wood turning experience is a lovely gift for the person who is hard to buy for.

 You will be amazed at what is possible in just one session even if you’ve never handled woodturning tools.

 To start the session I will go through any safety requirements that will be relevant to the session, along with demonstrating how to turn between centres. At the end of your session, even without any experience you will take home a beautifully finished hard wood bowl, and maybe a tealight holder. Starting with an 8″ piece of hardwood such as Oak, Ash or something else of your choice from the wood shelf, you will shape the bowl inside and out before applying a range of finishing techniques. Worst case scenario you’ll end up with a beautifully created piece of fire wood!!
